December 16th 2011 -jewelry
I haven't done much jewelry lately but I have made a couple of things. One was a present for my friend who loves purple and butterflies (I don't know if I have posted that one before or not) Also I made a necklace inspired by the book Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
December 16th 2011 -cooking
My mom started teaching cake decorating this summer and we also learned how to make candy. These are some of the things we made:
December 16th 2011 -knitting
It has been a super long time since my last post so here are some of thing things I have been working on in that time:
At some point I learned how to knit and then I went a little knit crazy so I'm going to post a bunch of the stuff I have made in the past few months. I'll post the Christmas presents I made after December 25th so that the surprise won't be ruined :)

March 27th 2011
Mom is still in full on cake decorating mode and she started making some little fondant decorations for cupcakes that will be used later this summer at my uncle's VBS. I helped out with a little bit over everything.
I also worked on my royal icing butterflies, they aren't turning out as nice as I had wished.

My mom got a job as a cake decorating instructor so she has been doing a lot of cake related things lately and now I've cought the bug again. I'm trying to figure out how to make royal icing butterflies and I'm testing a few different ideas, only problem is I forgot how tired my hands get squeezing icing bags. I guess I have to build those muscles up again.

I'm learning how to play all kinds of fun songs on my guitar now that I have someone who is helping me to learn.

Played some more guitar. I See the Light is so much easier than Days of Summer. The limited chords helps a lot I have to say, the fact that you can actually hear the guitar in the sound track is helpful, and the picking is really fun to do.

March 10th 2011
I'm still learning the guitar, and will be for a while. Anyway I was watching some clips from Tangled today and found someone playing I See The Light. I tried it out and it isn't so hard. I kind of felt like a real guitar player because I then just listened to the song and was able to figure out what chords I needed some of the time. I'm having so much fun.

March 3rd 2011
I'm trying to do my guitar 'home work' but I'm all kinds of confused. I'm getting faster at playing the beginning of my song though, and row row row your boat.

March 2nd 2011
I learned how to play row row row your boat on the guitar today. I had to actually memorize it without being able to look at a piece of paper, and I did. Lots more practice is needed before I will actually be able to do it quickly, or even right every time. I am building up my fingers though and I'm able to play for much longer now. Next step is to actually get my fingers strong enough to hold the strings.

February 22nd 2011
I practiced the guitar again tonight. I'm getting a little faster at changing chords and I'm learning the song pretty quickly, helps that I already know the words.
I really wanted to learn the song Days of Summer for several reasons.
1) it's from A Very Potter Sequel, if you haven't seen any of the Starkids musicals you should check them out on Youtube, search for the StarKidPotter page.
2) Darren Criss sings part of it and I have a huge celebrity crush on him, not to mention he plays Harry Potter in A Very Potter Musical / Sequel
3) The song reminds me of my college friends, because even though we hardly ever see each other anymore I still love you guys
'I don't wanna see you go but it's
Not forever, not forever
Even if it was, you know that
I would never let it get me down
'cause your the part of me that
Makes me better wherever I go
So I will try not to cry
But no one needs to say goodbye'

Still learning the guitar, I can now play about 4 chords without having to look at my little chart but I'm having a hard time going from one to another quickly. I guess that is just something I will learn in time.

Still practicing the guitar, I think I finally figured out the F chord, turns out I was holding the neck wrong. Now everything sounds a lot better.

February 16th 2011
I changed the song I'm going to learn from Katy Perry's Teenage Dream to Days of Summer, from A Very Potter Sequel. Only problem is, the F chord and I don't get along. I must thank the internet for helping me find a simpler way to play it. I can now play the first two chords of the song, sometimes. Just 10 more chords to go yay! Maybe by the end of the week I will be able to play the whole first line.

February 15th 2011
Dad let me have one of his guitars so I can learn to play on a full sized one instead of my small girly one, now my guitar is as big as I am. I learned 2 of the 3 chords today of Teenage Dream and I need to watch the video again to figure out the last chord. Next step is to make it actually sound good and try to figure out the rif.

February 14th 2011
I'm learning how to play Teenage Dream on the guitar, which means I can play part of the rif, my fingers hurt, and I have 2 notebook pages full of chords and lyrics
